Howard W. Crew, 77, of Robinson, IL, died at 7:40 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2003 at the Flora Health Care Center, Flora, Il. He was born May 26, 1926 in Crawford Co., IL, the son of Francis U. Crew and Ethel G. Bottorff Crew. He was an accountant with Marathon for 41 years. He was a member of Robinson Masonic Lodge #250, the Danville Consistory, a 50 year member of the Robinson America Legion Post#69 and a member of the First CHristian Church, Robinson. He served in the U. S. Arm in Germany during WWII.

He married Margradell Liston on September 11, 1948 and she survives. He is also survived by two daughters and son-in-law's, Nancy and Woodrow Myers, Salem, Cynthia J. and Jack Davis, Olney, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, David Crew; his sister, Mary Bowman; and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2003 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the Robinson American Leion Post #69, the Robinson V.F.W. Post #4549 and the Palestine AmVets Post#33. Visitation will be Sunday, August 3rd from 5-7 p.m. with Masonic Services by the Robinson Masonic Lodge #250 at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
