Jerry Wayne Correll, 50 of Porterville, IL died at 10:36 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2004 at his home after an extended illness. He was born December 11,1954 in Paris, IL, the son of William H. Correll and Carolyn M. Warters Correll. He was employed at Hershey Co. in Robinson and was a member of the Porterville Christian Church.

He married Karen Bennett on June 19, 1978 and she survives. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy W. and Kelli Correll, Robinson; his two daughters and sons-in-law Brandy D. and Rick Lawhead, Robinson, and Jamie L. and Caleb Swick, Robinson; his grandson, Christopher C. Correll, and his mother, Julie Correll, Albion; his parents, William and Carolyn Correll, rural Robinson; his brother, Garry Correll, Robinson; 13 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Debb Bennett, Sparta, TN, John and Diane Bennett, Palestine, Ed and Sue Bennett, Palestine, Lorry and Danny Malone, Robinson, Terry and Vicki Bennett, Robinson, Jim Bennett and Pam Stephenson, Newton, Amy Bennett, Robinson, and Pam Smith, Newton; his mother-in-law, Shirley Bennett, Robinson; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Charles Bennett; his sister-in-law, Kathy Correll; and his nephew, Michael Paul Correll.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 15th at 10:00 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Rev. Leland Culp is in charge of services. Burial is in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, rural Porterville. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14th. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes at the funeral home.
