Leona Delaine Carman, 68, died Saturday, September 24, 2005 at Newton Rest Haven, Newton, IL from cancer. Delaine was born on December 19, 1936 in Dahlgren, Illinois and was the daughter of Lee & Marguerite (Barnett) Wise. Delaine worked at Abbott Labs, North Chicago, Illinois retiring in 1992. After retiring, Delaine moved to Oblong, IL and worked at Terry's Flowers. Delaine was a member of the First Baptist Church, Oblong, IL and she also was a member of the Bristol Archery Club. Her hobbies included crafts, painting and reading.

Surviving Delaine are four sons and daughters-in-law, Everette & the late Patti Carman, James & Penny Carman, Donald & Sherry Carman and Bill & Bonnie Carman; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother & sister-in-law, Jerry & Mary Cooper; one sister & brother-in-law, Dorothy & Charles Sanson; several nieces & nephews.

Delaine was preceded by her parents, one brother, Donald Eugene Wise & one sister, Cheryl Cooper.

Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery.
