Katherine Burris, 82 of Robinson, IL, died at 1:00 a.m. Monday, July 05, 2004 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born August 30, 1921 in Casey, IL, the daughter of Charles Thompson and Lavina Hardin Thompson. She was a homemaker and attended the Robinson Wesleyan Church.
She married Kenneth Burris on November 7, 1939 and he preceded her in death on October 6, 1997. She was also preceded by her parents; 6 brothers, Claude Thompson, Jack Thompson, Willie Thompson, Ralph Thompson, Denzil Thompson and Clifford Thompson; 6 sisters, Florence Winkle, Daisy Haley, Gertrude Chesser, Gladys Bayles, Floe Cutright; and an infant sister.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Sheila Burris, Hardinville; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Jody and Gene Inboden, Flat Rock, Shirley and Bob Stephens, Robinson, and Linda Clark, Palestine; 13 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Eileen Thompson, Willoughby Heights, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 8th at 10:00 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson. Rev. Leonard Waller, Rev. Dan Szombathy, and Tom Buchanan are in charge of services. Burial is in Kickapoo Cemetery, rural Clark County. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and until service time on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Wesleyan Church, Robinson.
