Patricia Ann Brashear, 61, of Palestine, IL, died at 10:58 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at her residence of cancer. She was born October 8, 1943 in rural Hutsonville, IL, the daughter of Lewis Douglas Flynn and Alice Eugene Criss Flynn. She graduated with high honors in 1993 from Lincoln Trail College in the nursing program. She was a Registered Nurse and worked in the OB department at Sullivan County Memorial Hospital, Sullivan, IN. She was a member of the Outer West Market Church of Christ, and a past member of the Jr. Women's Club, the Student Nurse Association, and was a Phi Beta Kappa.

She married Donald K. Brashear August 26, 1961 and he survives. She is also survived by 3 daughters, Sheryl Lynn Brashear, Palestine, Cynthia Dawn and her husband, Darwin Rideout, Nortonville, KY, Carol Ann Brashear and her fiancé, Jason Richardville, rural Robinson; 1 granddaughter, Megan Alyse Rideout; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice Marie Leitch, Robinson, Lois Eugene and John Wolfe, Palestine, Laura Louise Lindley, Robinson, Mary Jo and Robert Watson, Hutsonville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and 3 brothers, Robert Flynn, James Flynn, and Hardin Flynn.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2004 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine with Rev. John Brand officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, November 6th and until services time on Sunday at the funeral home.
