Lloyd G. "Bud" Attaway, 84, Robinson, Illinois passed away at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at his home as he wanted. Born on June 3, 1923, in Robinson, he was the son of Oris E. Attaway and Jessie (Kennedy) Attaway. He served with the U. S. Army during W. W. II in the European Theater - Army Combat Engineers. He was employed with Robinson Ford & Mercury Dealership; Prudential Insurance Company; purchasing agent for Briggs Pottery & Crawford Memorial Hospital and owner of Attaway Casket Distributorship. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Robinson; Robinson Elk's Lodge #1188 and Quail Creek Country Club. He was a graduate of Robinson High School Class of 1941; attended Millikin University where he was a member of Delta Sigma Phi.

On February 2, 1947, he married Martha "Marty" Ann Carlson, who survives. Also surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Jane Attaway; two daughters and son-in-law, Nancy Attaway and Ann & John Linehan; six grandchildren, Dan & Jayme Attaway, John & Jane Attaway, Courtney, Claire, Cara and Jack Linehan; three great-grandchildren, Cale Attaway and Logan & Anthony Attaway; one sister, Cora M. Frye; two nephews, Richard & Judy Garrard and Jim & Carol Jean Frye; four nieces, Janie Guin, Judy & Larry Boley, Christina Ann Raymond and Bobbi Jan Linkogel.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lois Garrard; two brothers-in-law, George Garrard and James "J. D." Frye.

In accordance to Bud's wishes, his cremated remains will be buried in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois at a later date.
