Jerry Joe Allison, Sr, 68 of Robinson, IL, died at 12:35 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. He was born January 8/ 1937 in Robinson, the son of Roy Allison and Viola King Allison. He worked for Norm's Paint and Glass as an installer and owned his own lawn care company.
He married Ruth Ann Smith on October 16, 1959 and she survives. He is also survived by 6 children and their spouses, Brenda and Ron Merrick, Robinson, Janet Hughes and Harry Goff, Mattoon, Jerry Allison, Mattoon, Ann Miller, Mattoon, Mike Allison, Robinson, and Jena Allison, Robinson; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Richard Allison, Sun City, AZ, Roy and Marge Allison, Apache Junction, AZ, Howard Allison, Madesto, CA; 3 sisters and a brother-in-law, Helen Murphy, Robinson, Doris and David Ellis, Robinson, and Sharon Adams-Berry, Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Bill Allison and Bob Allison.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22nd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Jan Kincaid is in charge of services. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. Memorials may be made to the Jerry Allison Memorial Fund with envelopes at the funeral home or mailed to Ruth Ann Allison, 405 S. Lincoln, Robinson, IL 62454.
