Eileen Elizabeth Adams, 87, of Palestine, IL, died at 1:47 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2005 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center, Robinson, IL. She was born July 6, 1917 in Heathsville, IL, the daughter of Roy Pierson and Nora Higgins Pierson. She was a waitress and a member of the Palestine First Christian Church. She married Ray Adams February 8, 1959 and he preceded her in death January 12, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Alan Adams; and 2 sisters, Melvia Pierson and Mary Beasley. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Leo and Phyllis Adams, Palestine; her daughter, Anita Branum, Upland, CA; her daughter-in-law, Shirley Adams, Palestine; 2 sisters, her twin, Pauline Richards, Palestine and Norina Hope, Evansville, IN; her brother, Marshall Pierson, Vincennes, IN, 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2005 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine with Rev. James Delaney III officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Sunday preceding the services. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, Palestine with envelopes available at the funeral home.
