Following is one of the Biographies and Stories which where gathered by Charles Sumner McKamy in the 1950s for publication in a Crawford County History Book. Unfortunately he passed away before the book was published.

Pastor of the First Christian Church of Robinson, Illinois. Wife's name, Helen Ruth Wheeler, native of Indianapolis, Ind.

Children: Benard Eugene and Marcia Deane, aged 10 and 2 years.

Formerly pastor at First Christian Church at Homer, Ill. and Associate Pastor of the First Christian Church of Louisville, Kentucky, immediately prior to coming to Robinson.

Parents: George Anthony Wraith, father, who was a native of West Virginia, a coal miner and grocer; he is now a minister in Muskingum and Guernsey Counties of Ohio. Parents both born in England and migrated to America; Daisy Dean Wraith, mother, whose parents were descendants from Pennsylvania "Dutch", by name of Birge. Ray Birge, brother of Daisy was a minister, now deceased.

I was born in Zanesville, Ohio, Aug. 12, 1918, attended Johnson Bible College in Tennessee, Butler University in Indianapolis, Ind. and the University of Chicago, Ill. having the Degrees of Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts and Bachelor of Divinity, representing eight years of College and Seminary work; in addition I have done graduate work at the University of Chicago leading to the Doctor of Philosophy degree.

I have been a member of Kiwanis, Masons, Scotish Rite, and various groups in the cities where I have lived; at present I am Vise-President of the "Deck Council", a local youth organization, Secretary of the Ministerial Association of Crawford County, Director of District Stewartship program for the brotherhood and parliamentarism of the Illinois State Convention of the Diciples of Christ.
