DRAPER, MILES
John Kirchhoff 28 June 2017
Looking for information on a Frederick A Draper (b.1861-63, d.1924-25) and Emma J Miles (b.1879, d.1967) that were married in Cass County 3/4/1896. In the early 1900's they lived in Carlinville, Macoupin County and had children named John, Ruth, Mary, twins Harold and Harry (Bill and Kit) and Marian. After Frederick died, Emma and most of the children moved to Chicago with some of them later moving to southern California. Mary Lair (my grandmother) lived in Macoupin her entire life. I've had no luck whatsoever in tracing back any farther. Unsure if they grew up in Cass County or why they moved to Macoupin after being married other than an older Henry Draper lived in the same Carlinville area. Henry related to Frederick? Thanks!
BOLES, BOWLS, YORK
Debra Bergmann 13 June 2017
Looking for information on James Boles/Bowls who died in 1852. He was married to Elizabeth York (she died in 1856), although I have not been able to find the exact location/date of their marriage. I can’t determine their whereabouts in 1850 either, although in 1860 their three boys are living with 3 different families. One of their sons, my g-g-grandfather, William C. Boles, was born in Cass County in 1848 and married Josephine Giger. His brothers were John J. and Albert Boles.
