Bluff Springs; is a native of Prussia, Germany born Nov. 24, 1832; tenth child of a family of eleven children born to Frederick and Dorothea (Strutzenberg) Wildt, both natives of Hanover, Germany. Subject received his education in his native land, and has always been a farmer; his father also was a farmer. In Monroe Precinct, this county, July 22, 1862, he married Augusta Govert, born in St. Louis, Mo., Aug. 8, 1840, who has borne him nine children, viz.: Anna, Louisa (deceased), Henry, Wilhelm, Caroline, Albert, Dorothy (deceased), Emily and George. Mrs. Wildt is a daughter of Herman and Anna Govert, natives of Hanover, Germany; the latter born May 14, 1820. Mr. Wildt is a Republican: has been school director; is a member of the M. E. Church.
