Ole A. Rye came to Worth county in 1876. He has 160 acres on section 24, Fertile township. He was born in Norway, in 1844. He is the second son of Arne and Mary Rye, natives of Norway, the father born in 1817, the mother in 1821. In 1851 they came to the United Sates, locating in Dane Co., Wis., where the mother died in 1857, leaving a family of six children. He was reared on a farm, which occupation he has always followed. He was married in 1868 to Christena Nelson, also a native on Norway. They have had six children--Arne, Nels, John, deceased; Johanna, Thomas and Henry. In politics his is a republican and the present justice of the peace.
