C. W. Clausen

C. W. Clausen was elected to this office (county recorder), by the suffrage of his fellow citizens, at the election in the fall of 1880. He was re-elected at the election of 1882, but failed to qualify. Mr. Clausen is a son of the Rev. C. L. Clausen, who planted the infant colony at St. Ansgar, in 1853. He is a highly educated, intellectual gentleman, and none can be better fitted for the office than he.
