My name is William L. Anderson,
My father talked about having a cousin Little Charlie Anderson playing on the Radio in Iowa possibly in late teens or twenty's. I found a Charley Anderson living in Woodbury Co., on 1, Jan 1925. It would be interesting to know is this could be Little Charley or if there are any descendants still living.
Thanks for your consideration.

Hi I'm trying so hard to obtain a lead concerning my great uncle, Walter Buford Anderson's Children (Martin B. and Cecilia 11-1-1892).  He and his family lived in Sioux City from about 1900 to about 1932.  He worked for the Chicago Milwaukee Railroad; when he retired, he was a conductor.  He was born circa 1868 in Iowa.  His wife, Nettie Mills Anderson was born circa 1867 in Wisconsin.    They were married 11-1890 in Sioux Falls, SD.   The Sioux City Library helped  me to obtain Walter and Nettie's children's names, but no one knows anything else.  According to a family tree that I have that was completed about 1955, both Martin and Cecilia were deceased.  Walter and Nettie (also called Jessie) moved to Los Angeles, CA. Walter died  circa 1960 and Nettie during the 1930's.  Walter did remarry.  Can you help me?&nbs! p; The two must have went to school in Sioux City, and I'm pretty sure Cecilia was born there.  The last record I have of them is from a Sioux City Directory,  they both lived at home during the years 1917 and 1918.  I'm thinking Martin my have went off to fight in Europe, during WWI, but I haven't been able to find his name on any records that are available on line.  Also,   I've read that there was a terrible flu epidemic about 1918 or so.  Perhaps they died during this time and were buried at one of your areas cemeteries.  Can you help me?  I'd sure appreciate.  Thank you

In about 1860, my great-grandfather (Andrew Peter Andrewsen) was 10 years old and moved to Iowa with his parents.  Although we think they lived for a time in Davenport, they eventually settled in Correctionville.  His father was _______ Andrews(en) and his mother was Helen Mikkelsen Andrews(en).  We aren't sure if they were from Denmark or Wales.  In addition to my great-grandfather, there were two boys, Martin and Paul.  The father went to town one day and never came home again.  No one knows what became of him.  As a result, his wife Helen remarried to a Mathias Marcusen (we think), to whom she bore three children, Mary, Agusta, and Marth Marcusen.  We understand the parent both may be buried in Correctionville

I am doing my family history and am trying to locate information about any of them.  I am going to see if the county has any death or other records that would be helpful.  I saw your offer to make an inquiry so decided to write this.  If there is anything you can do to help, I would be very grateful.

I am searching for the names of the parents of Lora Fidelia Allen who was the wife of Wallace Leverett Wilkins. Lora Fidelia Allen was born in 1853 in Halifax, MA and married Wallace Leverett Wilkins in about 1871. The couple moved to Sioux City, Iowa in that year and lived there as a couple until Lora's death in 1889. The couple had the following children: Warren, Raymond, George, Mabel, and Lora Ethel. I believe that the parents of Lora Allen may have possibly been James and Lucinda (Allen) Allen of MA. I would appreciate any assistance that you could give me. Lora Fidelia Allen Wilkins was my Great Grandmother. Thank you for your help.

I am searching for an Anderson family who lived in Sioux City from before 1900 through about the fifties. The mother came from Sweden along with a brother and a sister who originally settled in Webster County, Harcourt, IA. I am descended from that sister, Mathilda Anderson Nelson. I have not been able to determine the mother's name (known only in our family as "Auntie from Sioux City"). She had six children, Anna, Esther,Helen, twins Sam and Joel- Joel died when small, and Louise. Esther was a court recorder in Sioux City for many years and never married as far as I know. Helen also lived in Sioux City for many years. Sam lived in Remsen, IA, I believe. Louise married Sig Rehnstrom and moved to Seattle, Washington. Helen later died in Seattle, Dec. 31, 1974. I have searched census records at the IA Geneological Society Library in Des Moines and have found nothing relevant. I realize I don't have much specific information to go on, but would appreciate any help you could give me. My name is Louise Opheim, P.O. Box 552, Stuart, IA 50250.
