Our mission is: To assist you in your genealogical search and to help preserve the history and heritage of our county. We encourage you to browse our site and visit it often as we are continually adding new items to help you in your quest for family information. PLEASE feel free to contact us if you need additional help. For those who may wish to visit Council Bluffs, our Genealogical Society owns and operates The Frontier Heritage Library, located at 622 South Fourth Street.
Library hours: Tuesday 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. If this does not accommodate your schedule, we will make special arrangements to open if you contact us. Please email for an after-hours appointment. Thank you for visiting us!We would love to be open more days but we need volunteers. Please consider volunteering just a few hours per week helping other members and the public research their family history in the geneology library.
