Membership
The Palo Alto County Genealogical Society (Page One) is a chapter of the Iowa Genealogical Society and was formed in January 1985. Membership dues per calendar year are: $10.00 (individual/family) and $15.00 (out of U.S.A.). Membership includes subscription to our quarterly newsletter (one per membership). Queries are welcome from members for FREE insertion in the newsletter. Queries are unlimited to length or number submitted, but must be typed or printed clearly on a sheet of paper separate from other correspondence. Marriage Book I (1860-1883) and Marriage Book II (1883-1889) for $5.00 each. Each book has 14pp, lists groom, bride, marriage date and page number. (Iowa residents add 25 cents per book for sales tax)
Birth Book I (1880-1897) for $12.50 each. Has 46pp, lists date of birth, mother's maiden name, father's name, and page number. (Iowa residents add 63 cents per book for sales tax.)
Birth Book II (1898-1908) for $12.50 each. Has 56 pp, lists date of birth, mother's maiden name, father's name, and page number. (Iowa residents add 63 cents per book for sales tax).
Death Book I (1880-1897 for $12.50 each. Has 47 pp, is complete with index in back-except the cause of death had been deleted. The Society does not have this information. ((Iowa residents add 63 cents per book for sales tax).
1908 Standard Atlas of Palo Alto Co., Iowa for $15.00 each. This photocopy includes villages, cities and townships of the county. Also a patron's directory, reference business directory and departments devoted to general information. (Iowa residents add 75 cents per atlas). The size of the atlas is 11" x 17", 33 pp
