(a.k.a. Reformed Presbyterian Congregation of Clarinda)My Grandparents were very strong of the "Covenanter" Church faith. They would gather their family around the table every day and read the Bible... the Sunday paper wasn't allowed in their home, because it was breaking the Sabbath. On Sunday Grandpa "The Lord Is My Sheppard" as he went upon his chores and then hitched the horses to take everyone to Church.. All of Samuel W. and Margaret J. (Smith) PINKERTON's children were members at one time of this Congregation, at Harlan Twp. |
