Both livied and died in Aberdeenshire, Scotland; ANDREW, 1 BERRY lived to be 80 years of age; in his religious faith he was a Seceder of the most ridged sort. Son: GEORGE BERRY, Sr; The Following are the two Sons of : ANDREW, 1 and AGNES (FAYVE) BERRY: Second Generation! 2.1 ANDREW,2 BERRY; (1st. Son of Andrew & Agnes (Fayve) Berry) born Unknown; died Unknown; married date Unknown to Miss ANNIE ADAMS; of Smiddir Hill, in the parish of Alford, Scotland. b. Unknown; d. Unknown; Mrs. ANNIE (ADAMS) BERRY was the daughter of CHARLES ADAMS and MARY (URCHART) ADAMS, of the Parish Eight, Scotland who owned the farm of Cornhill. Mrs. MARY (URCHART) ADAMS was the sister of Dr. URCHART, minister of the Established Church of Scotland in the Parish of Tough, (Scotland) and who preached there until his death. Unto ANNIE (ADAMS) BERRY parents CHARLES ADAMS and MARY (URCHART) ADAMS were born twelve children, three of the boys studied for the ministry, but two of them died before they entered their duties. The rest of them became farmers, and all died of consumption but three. The ANDREW, 2 BERRY and ANNIE (ADAMS) BERRY family consisted of 7 daughters: [REF:#001, Pg752] 1.1.1. 1st. Dau: AGNES BERRY; *1833-1913 a80y m. *1858 George BERRY, Jr. 3Ch. 1.1.7. 6th. Dau: ELIZABETH BERRY: Mrs. ANNIE (ADAMS) BERRY died of consumption when the youngest daughter ELIZABETH was only three years old. ANDREW, 2 BERRY never married again. They migrated to America about 1854, to Savannah, Ohio, where he lived until his death, at the 75th. year. ANDREW, 2 BERRY, became a paralytic, when his children brought him to America to live, and he never realized that he had left Scotland. ANDREW, 2 BERRY was of the strictest type of old Seceder and raised his daughters in the most rigid manner. He was extremely orthodox in his observance of the Sabbath, not allowing his daughters to sweep the house or wash the dishes on that day. The daughters all married well. No record has been found to date on the daughters marriages. The sixth daughter AGNES BERRY, married her cousin GEORGE BERRY, Jr. about 1859, at Urbana, Ohio. Son of ANDREW, I. & AGNES (FAYVE) BERRY; b. c1788 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland; d. c1878 a90y Married on 17 Oct. 1813, in Aberdeen Alford, Scotland to Miss ANN ROBERTSON, A daughter of a Highlander who had seven daughters. GEORGE BERRY, Sr. was a member of the Seceder Church, but he finally joined the Free Church of Scotland and became an elder of that society, holding the office until his death, which occurred in his 90th. year; he also was a member of the old militia of Scotland. Unknown; No more Information. 1.2.6 GEORGE BERRY, Jr. (3rd Son of George, Sr. & Agnes (Fayve) Berry) b. 17 Feb. 1826, Alford, Aberdeenshire, Scotland; d. 03 Feb. 1916, age 90y, at Clarinda, Iowa; [CH 05 Oct 1916] buried along side his wife in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Section III, Row 5, Lot 8, near College Springs, Page Co., Iowa; At the age of 32?, he married on 20 Sep 1858, at Suvannah, Urbana, Ohio to the 25 year old Miss AGNES,2 BERRY, his "1st Cousin," [CH 13 1913] (6th. d/o ANDREW, 2 BERRY and ANNIE (ADAMS) BERRY. b. 20 May 1833, Alford, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, [CH 13 1913] d. 11 Mar 1913, age 80y, Clarinda, Iowa, she is buried in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Section III, Row 5, Lot 8, near College Springs, Iowa.
