Parker Cemetery, Harlan Twp. Chapter 23. This cemetery was probably started as a family cemetery and then the community cemetery. The land was deeded to the trustees of Harlan Township and the deeds were recorded January 09, 1897. On August 21, 1896, Rebecca Parker, widow of Franklin Parker deeded land to be used as a cemetery. This probably is why some people refer to the cemetery as the "Parker Cemetery" In November 1896, Mrs. Catharine Elizabeth Pike and her husband S. D. Pike deeded land to the trustees of Harlan Township to be used for a cemetery. It is located on 5 acres of land, in NE 1/4, NW 1/4, NE 1/4, SW 1/4 of Section 10 of Harlan Township. East of the old town "Page Center" 2 1/2 miles, then North on dirt road 1/2 mile after crossing the old C.B. & Q. railroad tracks, located on the left. Was on E.F. BELL's farm in 1966. and on D. M.
