Cook, A.E., Agriculturist and Breeder of Registered Hereford Cattle, S. 33, T. Cook, P.O. Odebolt, 1872.  Mr. Cook is owner and manager of Brookmont Farm, the largest tract of land devoted to the raising of grain and stock in the country.  Nowhere in the United States today is there a piece of land that can be compared with it for productiveness.  In all of the 7,680 acres of land, not a foot is waste; all is under cultivation and guided by the thought and hand of Mr. Cook; it has produced crops that have been unsurpassed when others have failed. He not only employs the best methods of fertilization and cultivation known to scientific farming, but has at times been the first to use these methods.  Upon this farm is located on of the largest and finest herds of Hereford cattle in the United States, containing many prize winners.  The hogs and sheep are also of the high class registered type.  While talking to Mr. Cook the writer found him to be a very talented man, not only along the lines of agriculture but also in travel and many other things which go to make up a useful and well balanced life.  Sac County may be proud of having such a man in its boundaries.  He has done much to make the county one of the most famous in the world today.
