Stoneberg, Eunice (Gibson) (Mrs. Carroll Stoneberg) - Funeral services
were held September 17, 2001 for Eunice Stoneberg, 91, of Odebolt, Iowa, at the
United Methodist Church in Odebolt. The Rev. Al Milligan officiated with burial
in Odebolt Cemetery under the direction of Christensen-Huffman Funeral Home in
Odebolt.
Mrs. Stoneberg died September 15, 2001 at Odebolt
Nursing and Rehab Center in Odebolt.
Mrs. Stoneberg was born May 4, 1910, in Hartington,
Nebraska, the daughter of Fred Carter and Inez Maude (Cisney) Gibson. She
attended country school in Nebraska.
She married Carroll W. Stoneberg on February 3, 1943,
in Omaha, Nebraska. She worked as a housekeeper in several area homes and at the
Adams Ranch in Odebolt. She also assisted her husband at Cracker Jack Company
during harvest time for several years. She was an active member of the United
Methodist Church, where she served in many capacities over the years. She
enjoyed flowers, playing cards, puzzle books, fishing and camping.
Survivors include two brothers and their wives, Keith
and Ellen Gibson of Onawa and Gene and Anita Gibson of Odebolt; a sister, Nina
Petersen of Fort Collins, Colo.; a brother-in-law, Dale Brown of Colorado; a
sister-in-law, Evon Gibson of Richardson, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,
Carroll on Feb. 13, 2001; three brothers, Wilfred, James and Floyd Gibson; and
three sisters, Marjorie Collison, Bernice Brown and Arlene King.
Richardson, Merle E., 79 of Onawa died suddenly Tuesday, December 18, 2001 at this residence. Born February 27, 1922, in Odebolt, the son of Orie and Bessie (Roth) Richardson. Married Phyllis Bernhardt on July 5, 1946.
Sparks, Donna Belle (Sonichsen) - age 76, died December 29, 2001. Belle was born October 11, 1925 to Herb and Ruth Sonichsen. Her husband of 58 years, Fred P. Sparks, Fort Worth, survives her.
Bedell, Waunita (Anderson) - age 81, of Nordland, WA, died December 27, 2001 at Silverdale, WA. Born June 28, 1920 to Joseph Alfred and Elenora Marie (Johnson) Anderson in Odebolt. Married David E. Morgan in 1940. Married Smith Bedell in 1957.
