The Odebolt Chronicle, Odebolt, Iowa "Fifty Years of Progress" Edition
August 25, 1938, section 7, p. 1
The Odebolt community has been served for 30 years by the well-equipped tailoring and cleaning establishment of R. Korneisel.
It was 53 years ago that Mr. Korneisel took up his trade at Vienna, Austria, his native land. He worked seven years in Europe, three in Sioux City, and was located in Correctionville 13 years. Since he came to Odebolt he has always been located in the same building on Main street.
Three of his children are boys - and all are following in his footsteps in the tailoring and cleaning line. Carl and R. C. own shops at Britt and Sac City respectively, while Edward is associated with his father in the business here.
Mr. Korneisel has never missed a day at the shop because of illness, and never takes a vacation. He is a "crack" billiard player and an ardent moving picture fan.
A regular advertiser in The Chronicle, Mr. Korneisel's picture has appeared in this newspaper more times than that of any other person.
