The Fairbank Iowa Historical Society
The Fairbank Iowa Historical Society formed in March of 2009, to collect, preserve and disseminate knowledge about the history of the Fairbank Iowa area and to relate that history to that of the State of Iowa. To locate and collect any material which may help to establish or illustrate the history of the Fairbank, Iowa area; to disseminate historical information to interested persons, groups, and institutions and to arouse interest in history; and to accomplish these goals through the establishment of clearly defined collection, conservation, and interpretation policies. We serve the City of Fairbank, also Oran, Fairbank, Lester, and Franklin Townships. Location: Our building is located at 103 East Main Street, in Fairbank. Click for map We are close for the winter, but will open by appointment, by calling 319-269-6795 We will be open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend on Sunday afternoon.

Membership: Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the area. Membership is annual, due January 1st, single $10, family $15, and lifetime $100. Our meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month. We meet at our Building at 103 E Main St, Fairbank. Anyone interested in history is welcome. Our next meeting is Tuesday May 30th at our Building at 103 E Main St, Fairbank. |
