Item I
I direct that my funeral expenses and just debts be first paid out of my estate.
Item II
All the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate, real personal and mixed of which I may be seized or possessed, or to which I may be Entitled, I will devise and bequeath as follows:
1. To my grand daughter Ada C. Evans I give and devise the west one half (1/2) of the north east quarter (1/4) of the south most quarter (1/4) of section twenty seven (27) township eighty-nine (89) South, Range Six (6) west of the fifth P.M. in Coffins Grove Township, Delaware County, Iowa.
2. To my Grand daughter Cora E. Frazier I gave and devise the East one half (1/2) of the South East Quarter (1/4) of the South West Quarter (1/4) of section twenty seven (27) of said Coffins Grove Township, Delaware County, Iowa.
3. To my Grandson Clifford Hersey I give and bequeath the West One half (1/2) of the South West Quarter (1/4) of section twenty three (23) and the North twenty four (24) acres of the North West Quarter (1/4) of section twenty seven (27) all in Coffins Grove Township, Delaware County, Iowa.

To my Grandson H. Baker Hersey, I give and devise the South West
quarter, (1/4) of the North West Quarter (1/4) and the North East quarter
(1/4) of the South West Quarter (1/4) all in section twenty four (24), of said
5. All the rest, residue and remainder of the real Estate of …..
6. To my daughter Susan Hersey I also give and bequeath all my household goods, including beds, bedding furniture and all other household effects I may own at the time of my decease.
7. Within a reasonable time after my decease I hereby authorize and direct my Executor to see at public or private sale, as the court may direct, all of my personal property (except household effects given to my daughter Susan Hersey by division 76 of Item II of this will) to which I may be seized or possessed or to which I may be Entitled, wherever the same may be situated, to my daughter (the underlined was then crossed out) I give and devise absolutely and without reserve to my daughter Susan Hersey.
