CLARK H. LULL is a thriving and skillful farmer
in Elk township, Delaware county, Iowa, and is the owner of a neat farm of
eighty acres, all under fence and highly
cultivated. He was born in Michigan December 30, 1835, and
was there reared to his present vocation until seventeen years of
age, when he moved with his parents to Illinois, in Stevenson
county in which state the family resided
until 1864. Coming to Iowa that year, he and his father bought
a farm in sections 29 and 30, Elk
township, Delaware county, on which they still reside.Adna Lull, the father, of our subject, is a native
of New York State, and is now about seventy-nine
years old. He married Mary Martin, of the same state, and this lady still
survives, being about the same age as her husband. This venerable couple have
had born to them five children, viz. Clark H., whose name heads this sketch;
Amelia, who was married to Horace Hamilton, a physician, and after ten years of
connubial felicity died September 18, 1869, the doctor following her in 1876;
Albert, the third child, is a merchant at Red Oak, Montgomery county, Iowa;
Melvin died when eighteen months old, and the youngest child, George, is now a
farmer, living in Holt county, Nebr.

Lull, married Miss Lucretia, daughter of J. B. and
Elizabeth Sargent, of New England and Ohio, respectively, and to this union
was born one child that died in infancy; but Mr. and Mrs. Lull in their
kindness of heart have adopted and reared Lillie, who is married to Wilbur
Harding, and is living in Dakota. Mr. and Mrs. Lull are members of the
Christian church, and are highly esteemed by all who know them.
In politics, Mr. Lull is a republican.
