Probate Records Index, Dubuque County, Iowa OUT OF STOCK We transcribed and proofed the index of names of the probate records at the Clerk of Court office in the Dubuque County Courthouse. Entries are from the early 1830s through 1937, but the earliest records are undated. This is a helpful tool for determining the names of just some of the individuals who died during the period preceding 1880 when the official registration of deaths began in Iowa. |

#GR5 |
Prairie Farmer's Home and County Directory of Dubuque County, Iowa OUT OF STOCK With approval of the original publisher, we have reprinted a compilation of farm families who answered a 1924 survey by the Prairie Farmer magazine. It includes the names of all members of the family and which children were living at home as well as the wife's maiden name. One of our members indexed the women's maiden names and we have included that index. It is very interesting to search for the names of women who were sisters and who they married. Additional information and sections in the book include ownership of land, radios, automobiles, animal stock, and so forth. An overall demographic and historical picture of the farm families in 1924. |
