About the
Clayton County Genealogical Society
We are a no-profit organization with 60 members. Volunteers and donations of pictures, memories, scrapbooks, family genealogical materials are welcome. Due to a generous donation to the CCGS, we were able to open a permanent home for our resources in the fall of 2015. Materials that were housed at the Elkader public library are now at the new facility.
Memberships: $8/year single membership and $10/year for a family (couple) membership. Lifetime member (age 55 and older) $100, includes a free 1984 Clayton County History book.
Memorials and donations
have purchased an extensive collection of Clayton County
microfilmed census records and newspapers.
