The Heidebauern Connection - Bikacs

The first settlers in Bikacs arrived in 1735-1736 and unlike other settlements in Tolna County it was the only totally Heidebauern community at its inception and for most of its history. The origins of this group of settlers was from the counties of Vas and Moson and the area around the Neusiedler See, the region known as the Heideboden.
