Ancestry of Lida Deshler Wilson, my maternal great grandmother
Lida Deshler Wilson (Edward Payson, Hiram, Robert) was born in Leavenworth KS 26 Nov 1877 and died about 1960 in Cottonwood AZ. She married Spencer Kellogg in Leavenworth KS, 31 May 1898. Spencer was born in Amsterdam NY 10 Apr 1876 and died 19 Dec 1944, the son of Spencer Kellogg and Jane Morris.

Lida Deshler Wilson and Spencer Kellogg one child, my grandmother:

  1. Lois Dorothy Kellogg, born 20 Jun 1899.
Edward Payson Wilson (Hiram, Robert) was born in Pine Plains, Dutchess Co NY 26 Dec 1832. He married twice, first to Helen Fairchild in Leavenworth KS, 18 Oct 1863. Helen died 6 Jul 1864 and he married Olive Sinks in KS or OH, 6 Sep 1869. Olive was born in Williamsburg, Clermont Co OH 11 Apr 1841, the daughter of Nicholas Sinks and Martha Ann Posey.

Edward Payson Wilson was in Kansas by 1857 and was the proprietor of the Great Western Manufacturing Company which made cast iron stoves.

Edward Payson Wilson and Olive Sinks had the following three children, all born in Leavenworth, Kansas:

  1. Hiram R. Wilson born 4 Apr 1875 (middle name may be Reynolds)
  2. Lida Deshler Wilson was born 26 Nov 1877
  3. Olive S. Wilson born 1 Sep 1881
Hiram Wilson (Robert) was born in Dutchess County NY 12 Aug 1799 and Hiram died 22 Jun 1873 in Pine Plains, Dutchess Co NY, at 73 years of age. His body was interred in Pine Plains, Dutchess Co NY. He married Eliza Reynolds 18 Feb 1824. Eliza was born abt 1805, the daughter of Israel Reynolds and Deborah Dorr. Eliza died 30 Sep 1892 at 87 years of age. In the 1880 census, Eliza, age 75, was living alone with a servant in Pine Plains. [Information from Willson, Wilson and Allied Lines by Clotilde Wilson Blower, page 465]

Hiram Wilson and Eliza Reynolds had the following children:

  1. Ellen Wilson was born in Dutchess County NY 8 Oct 1825.
  2. Israel R Wilson was born in Dutchess County NY 2 Nov 1827.
  3. Julia Wilson was born in Dutchess County NY 11 Feb 1830 and died 22 May 1858 at 28 years of age.
  4. Edward Payson Wilson was born 26 Dec 1832.
  5. Sarah Rebecca Wilson was born in Dutchess County NY 2 May 1836.
  6. Elizabeth D Wilson was born in Amenia, Dutchess Co NY 20 Jul 1838.

Robert Wilson had:

  1. Hiram Wilson was born 12 Aug 1799.
