Many thanks to Judge Charles Clements, Jr. of LaFayette who donated the book, "Like Men of War, Black Troops in the Civil War, 1862-1865" by Noah Andre Trudeau, to WCAAHAA.

INFORMATION NEEDED:
WCAAHAA is working diligently to complete a book on the Lytle Cemetery, Longhollow Road, Chickamauga, and the Mount Joy Cemetery, in Subligna, in Chattooga County. The group needs funeral programs, pictures of those buried in the cemeteries, family histories of those buried in the cemeteries and their descendents, histories of the Lytle, Dewberry, Park City and Subligna communities, oral histories and any information that anyone may have concerning those cemeteries and communities.

OTHER INFORMATION NEEDED:
WCAAHAA needs copies of funeral programs, obituaries and historical information about African Americans of Walker County and their ancestors. Information may be concerning schools, churches, genealogy, etc. Funeral notices and obituaries are filed in a master book at the Cherokee Regional Library in LaFayette for genealogy research. Historical information is compiled by WCAAHAA for recording and preservation for future generations.
