CASULON PLANTATION

CASULON PLANTATION

GOOD HOPE, WALTON COUNTY, GEORGIA

I first learned about Casulon Plantation from a face book page started by Trish Johnson ( [email protected] )

entitled "Heart of Dixie-Memories, Legends and Ghosts of our Southern Past"

I would highly recommend this page to anyone interested in the history of the area around Walton, Oconee, Hancock, Putnam, and

Morgan County.  Just go to the face book web site and enter the above title in the search box. Check back often because

photos are added weekly.

The following pictures are from this web site, and have been posted with approval of

Heart of Dixie Photography.

Thank you Trish for allowing everyone the use of your photos.

They are as follows:  Photo of the house as Casulon in 1936.  Next three are the "after effects" of the

fire. Fifth is the slave cabin (said to be one of only six remaining in Georgia) and sixth the inside of the slave cabin. Next is  a rock wall on the property, and last the carriage house.
