Roy writes: "This photo is of James Elijah Fair and Mary Jane Towery. Elijah was the son of Charles Fair and Sarah White of Union County. Mary Jane was the daughter of Monroe Calvin Towery and Louise Evaline Galloway, also of Union County.. The two children are Edward Fair (L) and Frederick Elmer Fair (R). The couple settled in Bishop, CA."

Roy writes: "photo of William Fair (seated), the oldest son of Charles Fair and Sarah White of Union County and members of his family. He settled in Cherokee County, NC."

Of the photo above and the one below, Roy writes: "Lihue operated a grist mill on Young Cane Creek. Elvirah was the 3rd of 4 daughters of Charles Fair and Sarah White. She and Lihue are buried at Confidence Church in marked graves. Their two children were Bertha Bell and Floyd Roosevelt Davenport."
