The Taylor County News, October 13, 2005, Page 4. Valori's Views by Valori Moore My friend, Juanita Bazemore, has shared something in- teresting with me. I shared it with my grandmother, and she got a kick out of it, so I decided to share it with you. It's a little quiz entitled, "How well do you know the promi- nent families in Taylor County?" The quiz was prepared by Mrs. C.E. Benns, Sr., wife of Charles Edward Benns, Sr., who became editor of The Butler Herald in 1898. I don't know when the quiz was written, but it had to have been a long time ago. Some of the names are not heard around here much anymore, and there would be a whole bunch more names to add, if the quiz were written today. Give the quiz a try, and see how you do. Honestly, I didn't do very well, but my grandmother figured them all-out. Like I said, it's a dated quiz, but it's fun. . * * * How Well Do You Know The Prominent Families In Taylor County? 1.
