Arnold – Carter
Talbotton, Ga., Oct. 13
A big surprise was furnished society folk here last night when Miss
Ruth Arnold,
daughter of Rev. J.W. Arnold, pastor of the First Methodist church and Dr. Grady Lumsden
Carter were married.
Their friends knew they were to be married sometime during the fall but no date
had been announced. The wedding occurred at the home of the bride and in the
presence of the bride’s family only, with Benson Maxwell, Clerk of the
Superior Court. The ceremony was performed by the father of the bride.
