Resolutions
Our church has suffered a great loss in the death of
sister, Mattie Fielder Blythe, who died January the first
1909. Sister Blythe was born November 9, 1866. United
with Mt. Zion Church, Chattahoochee County July 1889.
She was married to William R. Blythe March 17th 1890.
Her beautiful Christian life endeared her to all who knew
her. Truly none knew her but to love none named her but
to praise.
Sister Blythe was a loving mother, a faithful wife, a
noble sister, a kind neighbor, and true friend, and an
earnest Christian. Blessed are the dead who die in the
Lord for their works do follow them.
Resolved therefore, 1st That in the death of sister
Blythe we have lost one of our most consecrated members.
One whose place will not easily be filled.
2nd That her death is a great loss to us, but we bow in
humble submission to the will of our Father who doeth all
things well.
3rd That we tender our tenderest sympathies to the
family of our deceased sister, and pray God in His
infinite love to comfort them.
4th That these resolutions be spread on our Church
Record and a copy given to the family of our sister.

Resolutions, In Memoriam
In as much as God, who doeth all things well hath in His
wisdom seen fit to call from among us Sister A.C. Adams
and Bro. Jas. M. Layfield and transplanted them into the
home of eternal bliss:
Therefore be it resolved: First, that we humbly bow in
submission to God’s Will.
Second: That this church has lost two of its faithful
members, and the cause of Christ on earth to valiant
soldiers.
Third: that we extend our sympathy to the families and
loved ones, and point them to risen Lord, who says
“Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord.”
Finally, we urge that a copy of these resolutions be sent
the bereaved families, and also that they be included in
the minutes of this church.

Resolutions, In Memoriam
The death of Mrs. Montir Carson troubled every heart in
our community. While she lived in our midst she won the
hearts of all by her pleasant and lovable disposition.
She was a true woman, a sympathetic friend, a faithful
wife and a loving mother. Truly none knew her but to
love her and her life’s influence will long be felt by
all who came in contact with her.
Therefore be it resolved: First, that we bow in
submission to Him who doeth all things well, realizing
that our Sister’s eternal gain.
Second: That we tender her loved ones our tenderest
sympathies and pray our Father to comfort them in this
sad hour.
Third: That this preamble be spread on our records and a
copy given to the bereaved family.

A Tribute to Bro. William Keller
God moves in a mysterious way. His ways are past finding
out. Still we know that He doeth all things well, that
He is too wise to make a mistake and too good too be
unkind. We would not question his dealings in taking
from us our beloved member, Bro. William Keller.
Always kind and helpful, willing to lend a helping hand
to any worthy cause his presence will be missed by the
B.Y.P.U. but his influence will be felt and his memory
treasured by all.
“Dearest Bro. thou hast left us and they loss we deeply
feel, But ‘tis God who has bereft us He call all our
sorrows heal. Yet again we hope to meet thee when the day
of life is fled, Then in Heaven with joy to greet thee
where no farewell tears are shed.”
Therefore be it resolved
1
That we in a spirit of meek submission bow to the will of
God and accept our great loss as our Fathers gain for He
hath said, “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord”.
2
That we tender to the bereaved our sincere sympathy and
commend them to Him who tempers the wind to the shorn
land.
3
That these resolutions be spread in our minutes and a
copy be furnished to the family of the deceased.
Respectfully submitted -
