SPALDING COUNTY            }                      This Indenture, made this 11th day of January in the year                                                      of  Our Lord  One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Six between James R. Ellis & Jesse T. Ellis of the County of Spalding of the first part and the McIntosh Baptist Church of the County of Spalding of the second part.  Witnesseth:  That the said James R. Ellis and Jesse T. Ellis for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred Dollars Cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged has bargained and sold & does by these presents remise, release, and forever quit claim to the said McIntosh Baptist Church, heirs and assigns, all the right, title, interest, claim or demand the said James R. Ellis & Jesse T. Ellis has or may have had in and to part of lot of land No. 62 in Union District of  Spalding Co., GA, being a fraction over one acre in the forks of the McIntosh & Fayetteville wagon roads & about four miles NorthWest  of Griffin, GA, commencing at the black gum tree in the forks on top of the hill and running parallel with said McIntosh & Fayetteville road, the East line is the Fayetteville wagon road & runs to a large hollow post oak tree about half way down the hill and seventy yards from the black gum tree on top of the hill up in the forks of the road, the starting point & the North boundary line commencing at the Fayetteville wagon road & runs by said hollow post oak tree, about ten feet from the road and thence to a large white oak tree and thence to a black gum tree, it being the NorthWest corner tree of said land and being seventy yards from the Fayetteville wagon road, from the NorthWest corner black gum tree the line runs due East South to the McIntosh wagon road seventy yards long, the McIntosh wagon road being the South line & seventy eight yards long from the black gum tree on top of the hill to the SouthWest corner tree, a red oak, close to the edge of the road, containing ___ acres, more or less, with all the rights, members and appurtenances to said lot of land in anywise appertaining or belonging, To Have and to Hold the said lot of land to the said lot to the said McIntosh Baptist Church so that neither the said James R. Ellis or Jesse T. Ellis nor their heirs nor any other person or persons claiming under them shall at any time by any ways or means have claim or demand, any right or title to the aforesaid lot of land or its appurtenances, or any right thereof.  In Testimony whereof the said James R. Ellis & Jesse T. Ellis have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seal the day and year above written.
