Welcome to Screven County GAGenWeb |
Screven county was created 14 December 1793 by taking land from Burke and Effingham Counties.
Screven gave up land to Bulloch County 8 February 1796 and again gave up land to form Jenkins County on 17 August 1905.
This site is intended to present records of a genealogical & historical nature in order to assist you in researching your family history. We depend on other researchers sharing documents, transcriptions, photographs, etc. in order to build the site into a useful tool. Please consider sharing with other Screven County researchers!
This site is up for adoption. If you are interested in hosting it for The GAGenWeb Project, please visit this page.
While we wait for a new county coordinator, if you need to change an email address on the site or you have items to donate to the site please send to [email protected]
