Our Mission

The Paulding County Genealogical Society is made up of a group of people whose common interest is researching their family histories. We are not professional genealogists. Most of us learned the "hard" way, by exhaustive searches through libraries over a period of many years.

By pooling what we have learned and inviting professional genealogists, historians, archivists, and librarians to share their expertise, and by building a repository of genealogical materials through donations of books and family histories to the Paulding County Public Library, we hope to make future searches easier and more productive for ourselves and those who are just starting out.

Our annual dues of $18 includes free admission to most lectures and the quarterly newsletter. Queries in the newsletter are free.
