From 1-75 - Take exit 277 Acworth, turn left on Hwy 92 South, follow Hwy. 92 for 11 miles. At the four-way stop continue straight ahead; 92 becomes 381 - Dallas Acworth Road continue two miles to Mt. Tabor Road take a left turn, then turn in one mile further down on left.
MUST HAVE ITEMS TO VISIT
1- I learned the hard way, bring sneakers/hiking boots if you are doing the entire walk.
2- Bug wipe and hankies - in the summer it can be quite hot, although the foliage does provide a respite.
3- Camera - there are some spectacular views.
4- A friend to share the trip with, preferably someone that is interested in history.
5- You must talk to Martha, she will ensure that you learn more about the history and can tell you about the Pickett's.
6- Your notebook to record your visit so you can send to us to post on this website.
