Last will and testament of John Sorrow (Original will recorded in Will Book A, page 122)

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN.  I John Sorrow of the county of Oglethorp and State of Georgia, being sick and in a low condition, but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be to God for the same, calling to mind the mortality of the body and knowing it is appointed for man once to die, I do make and ordain this my last will and testament.  My soul I recommend to God that gave it, and my body I rcommend to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion fo my executors, hoping to recieve the same again at the general resurrection by the mighty power of God. 

IMPREMISE: It is my will and I do order that in the first place, all my debts and funeral charges are paid and satisfied.

Item.  I give and bequeath to my loving brothers, Henry and Samuel Sorrow, whom I make my xecutors, all my lands, goods, and chattels and everything to me belonging to be equally divided between them. 

This is my last will and testament, revoking all others, as witness my hand and seal, this Ninth day of November, 1802
