George Hobbs

State of Georgia, Oglethorpe County. To the Ordinary of said County: I George Hobbs a resident of the County aforesaid and over eighteen years of age, do hereby make application for a license to carry one 32-20 Calibre Colts pistol or revolver No. 131213 for a term of three years.  [signed] Geo. Pistol Toter’s Bond
 




State of Georgia, Oglethorpe County. We George Hobbs principal, and W. A. Broach as surety, acknowledge ourselves jointly and severally bound unto his excellency Hugh M. Dorsey Governor of the State of Georgia, and his successors in office in the sum of $100, for the true payment of which we bind ourselves, our heirs and executors and administrators firmly by these presents. Signed, sealed, and dated this the 18th day of February 1918.

The Condition of the Above Bond is as Follows:  Whereas, the said George Hobbs having in terms of the statute, (Acts 1910), made application for license to carry a pistol or revolver and on approval of this bond said license will be issued to carry one 32-20 Calibre Colts pistol or revolver No. 131213. Now should the said George Hobbs use the said pistol or revolver for nothing except proper and legitimate purposes, then this bond is to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
