( page 184 )This indenture made this thirteenth day of Januarry one thousand Eight hundred & seven Between William Colquett of the one part of the County of Oglethorpe of the One part State of Georgia & Robert Colquett, Samuel Colquett & Beverly Guthery of said County & State . Witnesseth, that the said William Colquett for & in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, hath bargained Sold & Confirmed, & by these presents do bargain Sell & Confirm unto the Said Robert Colquett, Samuel Colquett & Beverly Guthery to them their heirs forever a Certain tract or parcel of land lying on the Grove Creek, adjoining the lands of Seymour Lee, Beverly Guthery & Robert Colquett & Containing One hundred and thirty Acres, be the Same more or less. To have & to hold the Said tract or
parcel of land, together with all & Singular the premises together with the appurtenance thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the Said Robt. Colquett, Samuel Colquett & Beverly Guthery, to them their heirs & assigns forever, & Said William Colquett for himself his heirs & assigns doth & will forever Warrant & defend the Said tract of land against the Claim or Claims of every person or persons whatsoever. In Witness: Whereof the Said William Colquett hath hereunto set his hand & Seal this the day first above written

Smith, who being duly sworn Maketh oath & saith, that he is a subscribing witness to the within Indenture Of bargain Sale, that he saw the within named William Colquett duly Sign Seal & deliver the Same as his act & deed, & Such to be recorded, & also Saw John Holmes & W'd Peggy Drew Subscribe their names as witnesses thereto.Sworn to before me
