This is a FREE Genealogy, Research and Resource Site.

American History and Genealogy Project (AHGP)
The American History and Genealogy Project (AHGP), is an unincorporated not-for-profit network of independent sites, covering North American Countries, Territories and topics.
This site is proud to be a small part of this project!

My name is Donna Allen and I'm your hostess for the Oglethorpe County, Georgia
American History and Geneaolgy Project.  Although I live in Texas and am unable to do on-site research helps, I will do the best I can with the resources available to me to help you in your research and/or brickwalls.
The developement of this new Oglethorpe County site will depend largely upon the submissions of loyal
Georgia family descendants and those who would like to see this site grow!  I will gratefully accept all Oglethorpe County related
Wills, Biographies, Tax Lists, Census Records, Old News Articles, Cemetery Transcriptions, Land Records, Civil War Histories,
Marriage Lists, Old Obituaires, and the list goes on and on.  So please help me help others by submitting your records.
With your help, we can keep genealogy free for everyone!

PLEASE!! Volunteers Needed for Transcriptions and Submissions to this Site!
(Thank you Denise Murphy for all your Contributions)

The success of this web site is greatly dependent on the contributions (submissions) of those who are interested in advancing Oglethorpe Co. GA genealogy research.  As you explore this web site, you will see several sections that have very little information.  Volunteers are needed to transcribe available records and to provide lookups from personally owned or online resources for visitors to this site.
If you are able to help, please contact me.
