BRYCE / BRICE My
gggg/Grandparents, William and Mary (ORR) BRYCE/BRICE arrived in this
country from Scotland c 1799.
They brought two children with them, Mary and Elizabeth. Two children,
Agnes and Thomas, remained in
Scotland. They settled in Union District (now Columbia), South Carolina
and had either eight or nine more
children. About 1825 they were in DeKalb County, Georgia. By 1827 they
were in Carroll County Georgia and
Thomas, who had remained in Scotland had joined them. William died about
early 1841 and from Carroll County
the children, William, Robert, and Joseph were in Paulding, Polk and

a BRICE, Georgia in Floyd County. We are interested in any info in re

RUDICILL, BAILEY I am the
great-grandson of John Monroe Bailey and Delia Rudicill who married in
Canton, Cherokee Co. GA, on
5-6-1866. Delia had a twin sister, Della. John and Delia had several
children, Margret (daughters: Ethyl, Delia,
Della) Minnesota (my grandmother) , and James (Jim). They may have had
more children, but this is the extent
of my information. I have seen a photograph of Delia as a young woman on
which was written "Delia Rudicil" so
spelling may be variable. Minnesota (b. 3-6-1873 in Canton GA.) married
William Edward Crawford on 12-13-1891
(in Texas) and had 8 boys and 2 girls of whom Burrell is my father. I am
trying to get information of both John
Monroe Bailey and Delia Rudicill parents, grandparents, children,
descendents, etc. I have been told that the
Rudicill family had land holdings in the vicinity of Ball Ground, GA.
This property was burned by Sherman
during the Civil War. Delia was disinherited when she married John who
was an overseer of slaves.
The ties into the Crawford family are detailed on Family Tree Maker
Volume 17, tree 455.

PARTIN, PARTAIN, TURNER RICK
PARTIN looking for information on his family. Father was Phillip PARTIN.
His grandfather was
James Anderson and Gertrude (?Gross) PARTAIN (1873-1941)
SON OF
Russell and Ann (TURNER) PARTAIN (B. before 1873)
In Catoosa County Georgia Cemeteries and Genealogy there is an unmarked grave for
RUSSELL MONTGOMERY PARTIN May 27, 1851 to July 1, 1920 SON OF George A.
and Sara Amanda GROSSE PARTIN with at 2nd wife of Laura Ballew.....
Was this Russell PARTIN married to Ann TURNER?
Possibly a John PARTAIN or PARTIN
All from Georgia, most likely Ringgold, Catoosa County
James owned an 800 acre farm in Ringgold, GA.
Trying to tie him to land that John Partin owned from the Cherokee
Lottery.
Verbal History: This Land was an original land grant from Andrew Jackson
in or after the War of 1812. Supposedly "Frenchie", James A. father or
grandfather, received it for services rendered from fighting the British.
The orginal PARTAIN brothers helped fight the British. Supposedly, they
came to the USA through New Orleans.
Supposedly one of the grandfather's was married to a full-blooded
Cherokee and they traveled with the medicine show and she did not have to
traverse the Trail of Tears.
We are planning a research trip and want to get as much information as
possible before. THANKS!
