BOWEN I am searching for a
Andrew Bowen born about 1819 in Georgia. I do not know exact location of
his birth. I do know that he married a Mary Hays in 1853 in Carroll
County, Georgia. I believe this may have been his second wife. The 1860
census of Carroll County, Georgia shows that he has two older children
living with them, however the older children were born in Alabama. The
older children were James and Lucinda Bowen. The other childrens names
were as follows: Christian C. Bowen-age 6, John L. Bowen-age 4 years,
Nancy Bowen-age 1 year, and Andrew J. Bowen-age 2 months. All of the
younger children were born in Georgia. It also shows that there was a
Theresa Hays living with them also. She was abt 60 years old at this
time. She was Mary's mother. Mary and Theresa were from Early County,
Georgia. This is about all of the information that I have at this time.
All information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Cory Bowen.

HEAD, SMARR I am seeking
information on my great grandparents, John
Thomas HEAD and his wife Martha (BARTLETT?). They lived
in the Harralson/Polk county area, specifically Cedartown
and Buchannan, in the late 1880s to early 1890s time frame.
It may be that he was working in the textile industry since
this is what he did later. They had two children, Berta May
and Annie Maude. Martha is said to have died not too long
after Maude's birth in 1892. In a form received from the
U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census,
Wahington DC, dated July 1, 1957, Annie M. HEAD was born
Februray 1892 in Georgia. This was taken from the Census of
1900, District 612, Butts County, GA. It states that Annie
M. HEAD was enumerated in the family of Jno. and Sarah
SMARR and that she was their niece. John Thomas later
married Mollie Virginia REYNOLDS. Submitted by : Linda Murchison
