FARLEY families in Meriwether Co., in 1860 and later; perhaps earlier. T. J.,
b. 1826; m. Nancy C. BRILEY(?), b. abt 1834; children John M., Mary Francis,
Nancy Delaney, Thomas, James Matthew, William A. Most of the children went to
Texas in 1870s. What happened to T. J. and Nancy? Possible brother George W.,
b. abt. 1820; m. Louisa MARSHALL, b. abt 1825. George was killed in 1864 in
Petersburg; Louisa received Confederate pension until 1898 but I can find no
record of her death. Any information on these families welcome.

Searching for the parents of Roy MOONEY. In the 1930 census of Meriwether
Co. his age was listed as 28. Have searched the 1920 census, no luck.
Thanks.

Does anyone know where I could find a list to see if Abner REEVES was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from Meriwether Co in 1841?

I am responding to the queries placed in 2000 and
2003 regarding MANES. NOTE: The emails no longer work.
I am the grandson of W. H.
MANES. The best I can tell he had a brother named Oscar
and both were MD's. William Henry
MANES, my grandfather,
died in 1935/1936 outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma. More
exactly Owasso, Oklahoma or Collinsville,
Oklahoma, depending on your map at the time. I have
some information of the family and will share. You may reach me at
918-809-7325. Owasso,
Oklahoma is my home town. Regards,
BARRENTINE family in Meriwether Co.

Barrentine b. June 15, 1891 d. April 29, 1957 m. Ike Meltzer, 2nd m. Doc
Cartwright, 3rd m. William Hart Owens. She had two sisters Mary Lizzy
(Cartwright) and Ida (Phillips). One brother J.W. Barrentine. I am trying to
get some information on my grandmother (Mae) and her family, but I cannot find
much. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Was the Rev. J. K. LEAK a pastor in Meriwether
Co.? From the Southern Christian Advocate obituary
of Perlina Paulina Blount
WALKER (1877), we learned her wedding date (to Henry H. Walker) and
who
performed the ceremony (Rev. J.
K. Leak) but can
find no Meriwether Co. records indicating that
the marriage took place in Meriwether Co. - which
is where the bride's family lived. She was a
daughter of Freeman W. Blount and Sarah McDaniel
Lassiter Blount. Any information on this preacher will help
tremendously.

BLOUNT.
I am interested in the Blount family and am trying to find what
happened to the children of Levi P. Blount and his second wife. Their names
were Claude, Mary, and Sallie Blount.

Looking for the gravesite of Joseph
Lawrence GODWIN. We believe he died sometime around 1945 somewhere in
Warm Springs, GA. His daughter, my grandmother, would like to visit
his grave one more time before she dies. She has trouble remembering,
so we don't have much info. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Spouse Jewell wife 33 Alabama
Beatrice daughter 10 Ga
Idell daughter 4 Ga
I need to know more info on Jewell and the girls. I know Beatrice
married a Thornton and Idell married a Bunn and was in Griffin, Ga
when their dad died in May 1969 according to his obit.
I would like Jewell's date and place of death and maiden
name, parents' name. I didn't
get a chance to pull the actual census, which I desperately need.
If you can help I would greatly appreciate any and all.
Thanks.
