Wednesday evening at 8:30 o'clock the hands and hearts of Miss Nanna Keith and Mr. Louis H. McLaughlin were united by the holy bonds of wedlock.  The marriage was celebrated at the Baptist Church in this city, which was beautifully and tastefully festooned with ferns and pretty, choice flowers of spring.  Rev. John Spier officiated in typing the knot, which bound together the lives of this popular couple.

Just before the bridal party entered the church Misses Bernie Murphy and Maymie Dent charmed the assembled guests with the beautiful song "I will promise thee."  Miss Pearl Williams deftly touched the organ keys and the melodious strains of Mendelssohn filled the sacred edifice.  The ushers repaired to their place behind the altar.  Following these down main aisle came the attendants, maid-of-honor, bridesmaid, flower girls, the ladies clad in immaculate white organdy, all keeping rhythmic step with the inspiring music, and took their places, forming a semi-circle around the chancel.  Then came the bride with her mother Mrs. Emma Keller Keith.   They were met at the altar by the groom and his best man, Mr. Frank Martin, who came in from the rear door.  The bride and groom took position in front of the Rev. John Speir who, in the beautiful Methodist ceremony, made the happy twain as one.  The organ pealed forth the stately notes of Lohengrin's march and the bridal cortege marched out of the church.

After the marriage the bridal party and a host of invited friends enjoyed a delightful reception at the home of Hon. and Mrs. B. F. McLaughlin, the parents of the groom.  This happy gathering was joyfully entertained by pleasant social converse and the sweet charms of music and regaled by delightful courses of refreshments.  All went merry as the proverbial marriage bell.

            The attendants were:

Miss Lotilla Mobley, of Hamilton, with Mr. C. F. McLaughlin; Miss Daisy Hudson of Hamilton, with Mr. R. O. Turner, Miss Julia Peavy of Odessadale with Dr. J. A. McGahee, Miss Nettie Culpepper with Mr. John W. Peavy, Miss Kate Watson of Odessadale with Mr. J. I.  McLaughlin; Miss Bettie Ledbetter with Mr. B. F. Keller, Miss Ida Keith was maid of honor and Miss Lucy Gilbert was bridesmaid.  Little Misses Margaret Keith and Sarah Render were flower girls.  The ushers were Messrs F. C. Strozier, T. J. Culpepper, J. O. McGehee and B. R. Freeman.   Mr. Frank Martin, of Atlanta, was best man.

Mrs. McLaughlin is the eldest daughter of Mrs. Emma Keller Keith and one of the fairest in Greenville's garden of girls.  Pretty of face and form, sweet in disposition, charming in manner, pure in heart and endowed with a brilliant mind. She is preeminently fitted to reign as queen of the home of the fortunate man to whom she has plighted her troth.

Mr. McLaughlin is one of the most popular young gentlemen in the city.   He is the possessor of a noble, generous heart and a genial, sunny nature which binds friends to him with hooks of steel.  He is a manly man of splendid habits and true worth, and in the business world is rapidly winning success.

The Vindicator's best wishes will ever follow Louis and Nanna.  May God in His goodness and mercy bless and keep them.  May He shower upon them all of Heaven's richest gifts that are needful to bring joy and happiness into their lives.
