Madison CountyThis indenture made this 15th day of December in the year of our Lord 1824 between Joel Britt of the one part and Jessiah Human of the other part, both of the State and county aforesaid, Witnesseth that I the said Joel Britt hath bargained, sold and conveyed to Jessiah Human for and in consideration of the sum of $100.00 to me in hand paid by said Jessiah Human, the receipt whereof is hereby asknowledged before the sealing and delivery of these presents, I the said Joel Britt doth bargain, sell and convey unto Jessiah Human all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county aforesaid on the waters of Holly Creek containing 100 acres more or less, the same being part of a tract granted to John Darden, the said bargained land beginning on a white oak corner on Glasses branch, turning thence S 88 E 24ch to a pine, thence 19 E 39ch to a R. O., thence W 12 50 to a R. O., thence S 67 W 10 to a white oak, thence bounded by Glasses branch to the beginning corner, which described land with all rights titles and interests in and to the aforesaid land and premesis with all and every part or appurtanances thereunto or in any wise belonging free from the claims of me my heirs or assigns other person or persons whatever unto the said Jessiah Human his heirs and assigns forever. In witness and testimony hereof I the said Joel Britt have set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year above written.
