Samuels Family

Dr. George Edwin Samuels, born in Lincolnton, Lincoln, County, GA, 25 December 1849. He died January 4, 1930 and was buried in Bethel Cemetery in Appleby, Nacogdoches, Co.. Texas.  His second wife Melinda Frances Watlington is buried beside him.  His first wife was Sara Baker. Donated by Yvonne W Whitman

Jeremiah Samuel; married Sarah (Sally) Samuel, the daughter of Anthony Samuel. Her younger brother Benjamin Samuel married Agnes Sanders daughter of Adams Sanders.  In 1813 Elizabeth daughter of Benjamin and Agnes married Edward, son of Jeremiah and Sarah Samuel-Samuel.  They were the parents of my Greatgrandfather Jeremiah George Samuel. He married Elizabeth R. Murph, daughter of John W. and Margaret? Murph.  He was listed as Jerry G on the census in Nacogdoches County, Texas.

I do not know just who Margaret was but she did give birth to all of her children in Lincoln, County, GA. She died before they left for Texas with my Greatgranddparents. John W. was from South Carolina and I suppose she was too.
