JOHN GORDON KEMP, Jr. – 69 -
Mr. John Gordon Kemp, Jr., age 69, of Barnesville passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born June 2, 1944 in Rome, GA, to the late Mr. John Gordon Kemp, Sr. and the late Mrs. Ruby Estelle Tidwell Kemp, and was Retired from Southern Rivers Energy as a Lineman and Right-of-Way Procurement Specialist. Mr. Kemp was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his daughter - Ginger Cannon (& Michael) of Griffin ; 1 Sister, Betty Kemp Vaughan (& Leo Camp) of Griffin ; 1 Sister-in-law, Betty Knight Patterson of Barnesville; 2 Grandchildren, Ashley Cannon & Nicholas Cannon ; 4 Nieces, Karen Darmody (& Kevin), Julie Cooper (& David), Tonya Chapman (& John), and Kim Jones (& David) ; & Numerous Nieces, Nephews, & other relatives.
Funeral Services for Mr. John Kemp, and his wife, Mrs. Pearl Kemp, will be conducted Thursday, June 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Reverend Allen Newman officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 5, 2013.

Mrs. Pearl Lou Knight Kemp, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born Aug. 1, 1945 on Tinkerfield Air Force Base in Oklahoma to the late Mr. Von Wilson Knight and the late Margie Lou Compton Knight, she was raised in Antioch Baptist Church, but was a current member at Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Kemp had Retired from The William Carter Company.
